The Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya (APDK) is a Non Governmental Organization empowering person with disabilities in the country.  APDK’s mission is “to enable person with disabilities overcome their physical limitations and empower them socially and economically to become self reliant and fully integrated members of their communities”

 

The organization has established an Employment Bureau and requires an officer to manage the Bureau.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Programme design and management of Employment Bureau
  • Conduct assessment and interviews of persons with disabilities who seek employment
  • Consult with employers for job placement
  • Develop a database 
  • Prepare and submit reports to the Head office
  • Assist the Human Resource Management within APDK

 

Requirement:

  • Must posses a degree in Social Science & a Diploma in Human Resource Management
  • Minimum 5 years experience in HR Management; experience in an Employment Bureau will be an added advantage
  • At least 30 years of age
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Person with disability are engaged to apply
  • Should be computer literate
  • Self motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
