Design Mission: Public Private Partnership (PPP) components
In December 2006, HENNET successfully lobbied for participation
in the JDM through the PPP component. The JDM was a concerted
effort between the MOH, DHPs and CSOs to assess the health sector
needs and priorities that will lead to the design of coordinated
health programmes the implementation of NHSSP II. Full

Following a request by HENNET members during a quarterly meeting
held in February 2007, HENNET has summarized key MOH operational
documents in order to enable HENNET members to become better
acquainted with them so that they can participate more meaningfully

contribution to the MOH Annual Operation Plan 3
HENNET has carried out an analysis of the 67 District Health
Plans (DHPs) for the Annual Operational Plan 3 (AOP 3) in order
to establish CSOs’ inclusion in the district level plans. The

Signs the Kenya Health SWAp Code of Conduct
HENNET Chair, Mette Kjaer, signed the Code of conduct (CoC)
in August 2007, alongside the MoH, Ministry of Treasury and
DHPs. The CoC defines the working relations among the stakeholders
(Government/MOH, Civil Society and DHPs) in the health sector. Full

with an aim to broaden government ownership over public sector

Members Meeting February 2007 and CEOs Breakfast Meeting March

The quarterly members’ meeting focused on HENNET’s strategy
and also served as a forum to share recent best practices. Through
group work and discussions, HENNET members devised the strategy’s
key thematic areas and activities which were consolidated to
make the HENNET strategy for 2007-2010. Full

HENNET Annual General Meeting (AGM) April 2007.
A full HENENT board was elected during the AGM consisting
of; AMREF, CHAK, Marie Stopes International, Liverpool VCT,
Mildmay International, Aga Khan Health Services, Family Health
Options Kenya, Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA),
Kenya AIDS NGOS Consortium (KANCO) and Kenya Alliance of NGOs
Against Malaria (KeNAAM). Prior to this AGM, HENNET was governed

Holds a Successful Workshop on Community Based Health Care (CBHC)
July 2007.
The workshop aimed at sharing of experiences in CBHC and dialogue
on the role of CSOs in rolling out the national Community Strategy.
72 participants from various CSOs, and other stakeholders in
